1. Electron Microscopy: Active Imaging and Spectroscopy

(1) in-situ Electron Microscopy for a Single Nano/Quantum Structure

 - InAs(P) nanowire [Nano Letters, 10, 5 (2016), PCCP (2018)]

: The electromechanical properties of various nanowires (NWs) were investigated by applying a uniaxial tensile strain in a transmission electron microscope (TEM).

(2) Operando Electron Microscopy for Catalyst and Biomaterials

 - Liquid-Phase Electron Microscopy (LP-EM)

: The novel membrane structures and SEM/TEM holders for liquid-phase electron microscopy are under developmnet. And the dynamic behavrions of nanoparticles and biomaterials are observed in liquids.

 - Thermal behaviors of nanoscale materials [Sci. Rep. 8, 2199 (2018)]

: The phase transformation and phase transition depending on temperature are studied in electron microscopes.
